Notes & Combos
Chain Beat is an old-school control deck from over a decade ago. The deck focuses on using Wind-Up Rabbit and Evilswarm Thunderbird to slowly chip away at the opponent while avoiding removal by banishing themselves. These monsters work perfectly with Black Garden, which halves your opponent’s monsters’ ATK and gives you 800 ATK tokens. To clear your tokens, your opponent usually needs at least 1600 ATK after halving, which becomes difficult thanks to your traps like Compulsory Evacuation Device, Torrential Tribute, Needle Ceiling, and Stygian Dirge.
Your monsters are safe because when they return from banishing, Black Garden won’t trigger again, so Rabbit keeps 1400 ATK and Thunderbird returns with 1950 ATK. This makes it extremely hard for opponents to beat over them unless they summon monsters with more than 3900 ATK before halving.
The Extra Deck is irrelevant here — it’s only used to fuel Pot of Extravagance. Additional draw power comes from Time-Tearing Morganite and Accumulated Fortune. The deck’s win condition is slow but steady: protect your monsters, control the board with traps, and win through small, safe attacks over time.
Chain Beat isn’t about speed — it’s about control, patience, and grinding your opponent out of resources.
