Notes & Combos
One of my favourite new decks alongside pure Mitsurugi, mostly for its mid-range playstyle and ability to play both going first and second. The climb was extremely smooth all the way until Lv. 19 where I was either sent first by Red Reboot Tenpai or went second against a bunch of Maliss. Even against these fairly bad matchups though the games were roughly 50/50.
Sting was the least useful of the traps, but there were still situations where it came up, and I still liked it for the grind game. Nibiru felt pretty high impact in every matchup that wasn't the mirror, so I'd maybe like to bump it up to 2 though I'm currently unsure of what I'd cut for it.
Extra deck felt very good, every card came up at least once. I'd like to experiment with Cross-Sheep likely in place of the Seals package, but I haven't played enough with this deck to know how often Cross-Sheep actually comes up.
Overall really enjoyed the deck. It felt reminiscent of Swordsoul where the skill floor was quite low but I also saw noticable improvement as I learned edge case lines and sequenced better. Excited to get even better with this deck in the upcoming format.
